Aluminium alloy is cleaned to remove dust parti-cles, weighed and then poured in the crucible for melting. During melting nitrogen gas is used as inert gas to create the inert atmosphere around the molten matrix. Powder of alumi-na (Al 2 O 3) and graphite are used as reinforcement. 1% by weight of pure magnesium powder is used as wetting agent.
